The other day my husband showed me incredibly cute YouTube clips featuring the Slow Loris. I’ve never seen these cute critters before and they are very endearing (check out this clip for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLdQ3UhLoD4 ).
These tiny creatures with their huge eyes and dextrous paws just want to make you cuddle them – unfortunately this has led to a cruel pet trade of the slow Loris which is mostly found in southeast Asia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow_loris

It is very sad that these beautiful animals get treated like this and one thing to stop this would be that people just don’t buy them.
So if you ever think of buying a Slow Loris as a pet – apparently you can buy them in Europe too- think again. Cats are just as cute, make a proper domestic pet and they are cheaper too.
