A few weeks ago I have written about a little black and white cat, which ended up in our living room (How Bobby changed her colours). Yesterday evening I finally met this cat. She is very pretty, small and can’t be older than a year. She has white socks and belly and a black head with huge eyes. She is also very nervy around humans. However she seems to actively seek out Bobby and it was just funny to watch the pair of them getting to know each other. She was at first on the other side of our front garden gate, while Bobby was looking at her and sniffing the surrounding on our side. I opened the gate carefully to let the stranger in, but she was too nervy at first. She went after Bobby and just patted her gently on her hind legs and retreated to her original position. Bobby wasn’t sure what to do either. She was curious enough, but in the past her curiosity was met with hisses and a firm slapwith a paw by other cats.
Eventually after a few minutes the visitor finally ventured in and as it was dark we couldn’t see both cats for a considerable amount of time. Our garden looks like a jungle with lots of bamboo and foliage so it is tricky to spot Bobby, even harder to spot a black and white cat. We couldn’t hear any hissing or growling. When both finally reappeared from the “jungle” they didn’t look like they dislike each other at all. In fact I had the impression they got on well. However as it was half past 12 and bedtime we now had the task to try and get the cat out of our garden. Easier said than done! She even ventured in our kitchen. We decided to keep Bobby in so hubby could get the visitor out. He made sure that she was gone for good as she kept coming a back a few times. Eventually she gave up and went home.
I bet this is not the last we’ve seen of her.
Would be nice if they could be friends – I have this romantic idea of Bobby having a best friend who isn’t a human. Especially as I would like to adopt a kitten at some point – but don’t know how she would react to another cat.

Why not adopt the little stranger? Perhaps she is homeless and if Bobby and her get on well, it’d be perfect.
